The Alpine GTA (short for Grand Tourisme Alpine, not related to GTA VI) was launched in 1985. It was one of the last models from the Dieepy-based brand. Staying true to Alpine's roots, it featured a rear-mounted engine and a sporty design with a synthetic body shell over a dedicated chassis. The V6 Turbo version pumped out 200 hp, thanks to the legendary turbocharged PRV V6 engine. This was the most common version of the GTA, with 4,591 units built out of the total 6,494 produced.
