OTTO 1:18 Scale Resin - Peugeot 205 T16 Turbo, Safari Rally 1985 - White - OT1161

The 1985 Safari Rally was the fourth round of that year’s World Rally Championship (WRC). Peugeot was dominating the early season with its beastly 205 T16, three wins in three rallies: one for Timo Salonen, two for Ari Vatanen. Audi and Lancia could only watch as Peugeot led the charge. But for the 205 T16’s debut at the Safari, things didn’t go as planned. Bruno Saby crashed, and Ari Vatanen was forced to retire with a mechanical issue. Luckily, Timo Salonen came through with a 5th place finish, the best result for the 205 T16 at the Safari! The event was won by Juha Kankkunen, who would go on to join Peugeot the following season.
