In 2003, Simon Jean-Joseph was crowned French Rally Champion in the S1600 category. The following year, he moved up to the international stage, still driving his Renault Clio Super 1600. He has a consistent start to the season and achieved his first win of the year at the renoned Barum Czech Rally Zlin. It was also his first international victory, an important milestone on his way to the 2004 European Rally Championship title, solidifying his place in French rally history.
