Subaru’s WRX range includes several rare and specialized variants. The RA (Record Attempt) is a lightweight version of the five-door, while the Type R is based on the three-door. Aside from the legendary 22B, the RA is one of the most powerful, rally-inspired, and collectible GC8 Imprezas out there. Version 6 was also the final iteration of the first-generation Impreza! To shed weight, Subaru stripped out the non-essentials (like air conditioning and the radio) and used lighter materials, including an aluminum hood. With its STI-prepped engine, the RA delivers 280 hp. Thanks to its short gearing and close-ratio gearbox, this Type RA is a car that’s already built to win Monte Carlo!
