For the first season of the Opel Omega in the DTM, a few private teams chose the German manufacturer's new weapon. This is the case of Team Schübel which, with Peter Oberndorfer, has the luxury of finishing ahead of the "official" riders. This result was due to a fine sixth place for the driver in race 2 on the Alemannenring circuit.
